Philip Bridger

Philip’s workload is extremely wide and varied and includes:-

With almost 20 years of property and litigation experience, Philip has been involved in many substantial and interesting cases whether purchasing and selling properties for million pound plus values, or settling litigation cases ranging in values of up to several millions of pounds. Where necessary Philip has guided his clients through the complexities of the Chancery Division and Court of Appeal. 

Philip’s objective is to achieve the best result possible for his client, in the most time effective manner, at the least expense and minimal distress and he has experience of settling cases through alternative dispute resolution including mediation.

Philip acquired his first-class Bachelor of Law honours degree whilst at university in Southampton and a distinction from Nottingham Law School before pursuing his legal career initially in Nottingham, before moving to Wales where he became one of the youngest equity partners of a law firm in the mid-Wales area. He then went on to open his own practice.

Clients comment that Philip is ‘very professional’; provides ‘good, sensible and pragmatic advice’ with an ability to ‘handle delicate situations very well with good results’. Philip acquired the firm’s Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme Accreditation in 2017 and is a member of Solicitors For The Elderly; Resolution, Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners.

Outside of office hours Philip is an avid sportsman and enjoys football, squash, golf and snowboarding to name a few and coaches a local junior football team having acquired his FAW Coaching badge. He is also a huge animal lover and enjoys spending time with his young family and pets, one of which (Winnie the King Charles Cavalier) is the office mascot.


Alex Harvey

Role: Solicitor

Alex’s workload is varied and includes:-

  • Property litigation, including disputes between private and commercial landlords and tenants; possession claims; cohabitee and boundary disputes;

  • Contract disputes;

  • Personal Injury claims, including Road Traffic Accident, Medical Negligence and Holiday Sickness;

  • Cavity Wall Insulation claims;

  • Contested wills and probate actions including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975;

  • Insolvency

  • Divorce and children;

  • Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements;

  • Partnership and shareholder disputes;

  • Employment litigation, including disputes between employer and employee, acting for either party;

  • Professional negligence actions;

With almost 20 years of litigation experience, Alex has been involved in many substantial and interesting cases ranging in values of up to several millions of pounds. Where necessary Alex has guided his clients through the complexities of the Court of Appeal and House of Lords.

Alex’s objective is to achieve the best result possible for his client, in the most cost-effective manner, minimising as much stress as possible and he has experience of settling cases through alternative dispute resolution including mediation.

Alex acquired his degree whilst at university in Southampton and his LPC from Cardiff, before pursuing his legal career in South Wales, working for one of the largest litigation firms in England & Wales, prior to joining Bridger & Co.

Clients comment that Alex is ‘extremely professional’; provides advice in ‘easy to understand language’, it is ‘good and sensible advice’ and he ‘obtains fantastic results’.

Outside of office hours Alex is an avid sportsman and enjoys football, rugby, skiing and squash to name but a few and he coaches a local amateur football team which he took to national finals. He also enjoys spending time with his family and likes nothing better than to walk his dogs through the Welsh countryside.


Cerith Rees

Cerith’s workload includes:-

  • Drafting wills and trusts;

  • Making applications for Probate and Estate administration;

  • Contested wills and probate actions including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975;

  • Residential and commercial property sales and purchases;

  • Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection applications Personal Injury claims, including Road Traffic Accident, Medical Negligence and Holiday Sickness;

  • Creating and managing trusts;

  • Inheritance/tax planning;

  • Trust litigation;

  • Agriculture disputes and succession claims;

  • Partnership agreements.

Cerith has been involved in many interesting cases ranging from Re Beddoe applications and Contentious Wills and Probate cases to high-value Estate and Probate administration work. Where necessary Cerith has guided his clients through sensitive cases to expedient and successful conclusions.

Cerith’s objective is to achieve the best result possible for his client, in the most cost-effective manner, minimising as much stress as possible and he has experience of settling cases through alternative dispute resolution including mediation.

Cerith initially obtained a degree in history from Swansea, before undertaking a professional rugby career. He then retrained in law in Cardiff before undertaking his training contract with the firm.

Outside of office hours Cerith is an avid sportsman and enjoys rugby, squash and cricket. He also enjoys spending time with his family.


Gavin Griffiths

Gavin has only been with the firm a short time but he has quickly built his client base already receiving complimentary comments about his work. His workload is quite varied, but is focused on:-

  • Property and Construction disputes;

  • Contract disputes;

  • Personal Injury claims, including Road Traffic Accident, Medical Negligence and Holiday Sickness;

  • Cavity Wall Insulation claims;

  • Employment litigation, representing both Employer and Employee;

  • Divorce. 

Gavin works swiftly and efficiently using his best efforts in an attempt to achieve the most effective and beneficial outcome for the firm’s clients.

Prior to joining Bridger & Co. Gavin obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wales Aberystwyth and his Master’s from the University of Glamorgan before attending Cardiff Law School where he was awarded commendations on the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice courses.

Outside of office hours Gavin, is a supporter of animal welfare. He is also an avid reader with very varied tastes. Gavin also likes to spend time out and about with his family enjoying new and interesting places.


Conor Buckett

Outside of office hours, Connor is an avid sportsman, playing rugby to a high level, as well as most other sports.
