This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding firm with offices in Builth Wells, Llandovery and Llandrindod Wells.  Our firm has a small but very busy team. We are a personable and down-to-earth practice that combine good quality work with a relaxed working environment.  We are seeking an experienced Wills, Trusts and Probate Solicitor (2 years’ PQE+) or Legal Executive to join our ever-growing team at our Llandovery Branch.

We work in a traditional style and boast sensible billable time targets. As a Wills. Trusts and Probate fee earner, you will be coming in to a warm desk with caseloads to progress. Having said that, you will be bringing/generating your own workload too. You will be able to demonstrate the equivalent level of skills and desired competencies within a similar law practice. This opportunity offers excellent potential for career progression for the right candidate. Your caseload will be based on Wills, Trusts and Probate.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have the following skills:-

  • Computer Literate - able to use Microsoft office (word, outlook, excel), office 365, Case management systems and Dragon Dictate (but not essential);

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as time management;

  • Fantastic networking skills and the ability to build a rapport with clients;

  • Focused, meticulous and with great attention to detail;

  • Experience in wills, trusts, probate and contentious probate;

  • The ability to handle a high case load;

  • A practical and proactive approach to solving problems;

  • Excellent client care skills are essential;

  • Able to manage case load with minimal supervision;

  • Provide timely and accurate maintenance of all case management, billing and management information systems to ensure completeness of records and aid business decision making;

  • Deal with correspondence and telephone calls;

  • Undertake periodic reviews of files in line with Client requirements;

  • Provide updating reports;

  • Meet agreed performance targets;

  • Provide written updates by email or letter to clients detailing case activity to ensure that they receive up to date and accurate information about progress when requested;

  • To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2011;
